Sonoma State University is a great school! I am currently a freshman and I was a very shy student in High School. Now that I am at SSU, I’ve been able to easily make new friends and get involved on campus by starting my own club. For those who say that there is no social life, there is. There are so many events going on, on- campus like BIG NITE, Movie Night and events going on based on the village in which you live in. I know many people who party around here so its just like any other college. Events are not going to come and look for you, you have to get involved and make an effort in getting involved so you aren’t bored. The classes are decent, but because of budget cuts there are many people on waiting lists, but that is happening all over California. Make friends so that you aren’t bored or even get a job on campus.

The good thing about SSU being a small campus, is that you have the opportunity of being in small classes, so that you can have that interaction one on one with your professor. I like that because that means they actually know your name and it makes it easier when you need help. I can’t imagine being in a huge school with like 500 students and my professor not knowing anything about me.

The housing is amazing! I love being able to live in suites that you only share with a few people. When it comes to the bathroom or showers thats the best thing, you don’t have to be sharing with your whole hallway because you only share with the people in your small apartment.I love SSU and this has been the best decision I’ve ever made!! I recommend if you’re debating if you should come here or not, come and tour it! Hopefully you’ll love it!
